Compairing Products

I'm comparing Virtual Null Modem products so I can recommend one to buy as an alternative to actually null modeming 2 serial ports.  So far I've discovered that a few products do not work with VB2005. Although the FabulaTech product works with VB2005 I'm concerned because I can't get 2 hyperterminal sessions to talk to each other.

I've set up Com7 <---> Com8 and both ports open just fine but I cant get any data to/from either side.  So I'm concerned that there may be issues with this software too.  Or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks
Jim

Hmmm... Two HyperTerminals connected via COM8 <-> COM9 virtual pair, created by Virtual Serial PortKit, works perfectly.

All settings are by default. Start VSPK and create COM8 <-> COM9 pair, then:

- open Hyperterminal (HT-1)
- choose COM8
- all port settings by default

- open HT-2
- choose COM9
- all port settings by defaul

Now HTs communicate via VSPK (both typing and file transfer)
